Newten's Porcelain Panther - Episode#009 - Dave Brown

In episode nine of Newten’s Porcelain Panther, Jim and Ben were joined by art director, designer, photographer and funny man, Dave Brown for some late night dancing and laughing.

The delectable Dave Brown is a man of many talents and voices. As well as working as a freelance designer, he has photographed some of the the UK’s most respected comedians for his exhibition ‘Tough Crowd’ and his behind the scenes exhibition, ‘Behind the Boosh’… oh yes, Dave also played Bollo the ape and many other characters in the Mighty Boosh.

The following shouting and screaming took place on a cold, wet January night with the lights down low in Porcelain Panther HQ.

I Look At The Sky by Jim Stoten.

To celebrate the launch of his new album, ‘On A Flying Frog’, the endlessly talented Jim Stoten cobbled together Irene Fuga, Dave Brown and myself to help him make a music video for his song, ‘I look at the sky’.

It was filmed in one day in Early December 2013 in an old warehouse in Wembley and that furry orange suit certainly kept me warm despite the cold temperature. The day was fuelled by caffeine and whiskey. It was beautiful.

If you look carefully, you can see some kebab stuck in my teeth.

A VJ played around with my ‘I_CON’ album artwork for the incredible De Staat during their set at a festival in the Netherlands. The way it’s presented is just amazing and I got such a buzz seeing it moving and spinning behind the band.
